Provided by qualified staff and volunteers,
begin with the initial assessment and continue through the bereavement
period to help the patient and family cope with death related grief
and loss issues.
Hospice offers a planned program of bereavement services
for at least one year after the death of the patient. There is ongoing,
regular, planned contact with the family in a variety of ways which
include:
• Individual counseling
• Support groups
• Letters and Cards
